Cooler desks. Daylight kept.

By early afternoon the west wall is a wall of glare. Screens wash out. The people nearest the windows squint, sweat, or move.

Solar film cuts the heat and glare at the pane. The daylight and the view stay. What it protects:

  • Screens and eyes. Less glare on monitors, whiteboards and video calls.
  • The people by the windows. Window-side desks become desks again.
  • The AC. A lighter load on hot afternoons.
  • Furniture and flooring. Up to 99% of UV blocked, which slows fading.

Film or blinds. Film keeps the view.

Blinds fix glare by removing the window. They go down at 2pm and stay down. The view is gone.

Film works with the blinds open. It cuts glare all day and never needs adjusting. Read interior vs exterior window film for a Denver business for the two ways it goes on.

Which shade for a conference room

  • Video calls and monitors. Ultra View 25 or Cool Alloy 35 cut glare without a dark room. $11 to $12 per sq ft.
  • West glass that bakes. Silver 20 or Nature 20 cut more heat. $10 to $14 per sq ft.
  • Keep it looking untinted. Pristine Ceramic 70 or 80, a neutral non-metal film. $16 per sq ft.

Privacy for glass-walled offices

Glass walls look great until the meeting is confidential. Frost gives privacy day and night with daylight still passing through. Frost the whole panel, or just a band at seated eye height. Whiteout gives a solid white look.

Frost and Whiteout run $11 per sq ft. Logos and cut patterns are quoted separately. See frosted and decorative film.

Ground-floor glass. Two more layers.

Street-level glass carries two risks the upper floors do not.

  • Scratching and etching. Clear Defense is a clear sacrificial layer. It takes the damage instead of the pane. We replace the film, not the glass. 4mil $12 per sq ft, 6mil $13.
  • Forced entry. Guardian holds shattered glass in the frame and slows a break-in. It does not make glass unbreakable. 4mil Clear, 8mil Clear, 8mil Silver and 12mil, $20 per sq ft plus $4 per lineal ft edge sealing. More on security film.

We check your glass before we pick a film.

Commercial glass varies: coated, low-E, tempered, laminated, single or dual pane. So we check your glass against the manufacturer's chart of 972 film-and-glass combinations first. The limits:

  • Single pane under 100 sq ft
  • Dual pane under 40 sq ft
  • Clear glass under 3/8 in thick
  • Odd-shaped panes over 25 sq ft void the warranty
  • Uneven exterior shading voids the warranty
  • Triple pane treated like dual pane

If a film is not safe on your glass, we say so and recommend something that is. Check your glass.

We work around your hours.

  1. Free on-site estimate. We walk the glass with you.
  2. Glass check against the manufacturer's chart.
  3. One written quote, every cost accounted for, including how many visits.
  4. Install planned for when the space is quiet. Floors protected. Every edge finished.

Every install carries the manufacturer's film warranty plus ikonic's workmanship guarantee. The glass limits above keep that warranty valid.
