What storefront film protects
A display window fades a shade lighter every summer. Customers near the glass on a July afternoon do not linger. Neither needs blinds or a darker store.
Solar film cuts the heat, glare and UV at the pane. The view from the sidewalk stays. What it protects:
- Merchandise and displays. Up to 99% of UV blocked, which slows fading.
- Customers by the window. Cooler glass, longer browsing.
- The AC. A lighter load through the hot months.

The wrong shade turns your window into a mirror at noon. So we start light.
- Ultra View 35 keeps the glass looking almost untreated. $11 per sq ft.
- Pristine Ceramic 70 or 80, a non-metal film that stays near clear. $16 per sq ft.
- For glass that cooks, Silver 20 or Nature 20. $10 to $14 per sq ft.

Interior film, or exterior for west glass
Most storefront film goes on the inside. Large west-facing panes and certain coated glass go on the outside. Ext Pristine 70/80 and Zen SSX 55 are $18 per sq ft. X-Series Silver and Cool Alloy run $14 to $15. Exterior films need edge sealing at $2 per lineal ft. We tell you which side after we see the glass.

Ground-floor glass gets tagged, scratched and etched. Replacing a pane is expensive and slow. Clear Defense sits over the glass and takes the damage instead. We peel the film and lay a new one.

Security film for ground-floor retail
Guardian holds shattered glass in the frame and slows forced entry. It does not make glass unbreakable. Guardian 4mil Clear, 8mil Clear, 8mil Silver and 12mil run $20 per sq ft plus $4 per lineal ft edge sealing, which anchors the film to the frame. Storefront glass is often larger and older than home glass, with thermal-stress risk. So we check the glass against the manufacturer's chart of 972 film-and-glass combinations first. The limits:
- Single pane under 100 sq ft
- Dual pane under 40 sq ft
- Clear glass under 3/8 in thick
- Odd-shaped panes over 25 sq ft void the warranty
- Uneven exterior shading voids the warranty
- Triple pane treated like dual pane
